About

Welcome to No More Tears, a blog chronicling Elliot’s journey with Leukemia. Elliot was born on July 22, 2009, and he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 21 months old.

At one point early in Elliot’s hospitalization they were having difficulty getting blood from him. I (dad) was holding him down while he was crying hysterically. Seeing the veins in my arm, the nurse at one point mentioned that she wished she could stick me for the blood instead. I wished so much that was possible—that I could take away the pain from my boy, that they wouldn't have to stick him 4-5 times for blood, but could stick me instead. We know that we can’t keep him from pain in this life, but our hope is in Jesus who can, and one day will take away all pain from his people. Jesus was the substitute who suffered in our place on the cross. Our faith is in Him, the Great Physician, who knows his little frame and will one day make all things new.

Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
